In 2011, to mark its bicentenary, the Lodge presented £40,000 to the Freemasons’ Grand Charity from its Benevolent Fund, plus a further £1,000 to the Metropolitan Grand Master’s Cyberknife Appeal — a single gift larger than many lodges give in a decade.
